The buyer cancelled their offer. What does that mean?

When a buyer has made an offer on something you’ve listed, they have committed to meeting you, at a specified time (optional), and buying the item from you if they are still satisfied after a thorough inspection. Similarly, once you accept an offer, you have made a commitment to hold that item for the buyer and make yourself available to them at the specified time.

However, unforeseen problems may occur so we allow either party to cancel at any time. If a buyer cancels their offer, s/he is required to provide a reason for cancellation.

Note: the number of cancellations someone has requested is recorded and reflected in their profile. When deciding to accept or decline an offer on an item, you can view the buyer’s profile to see if s/he is a person you'd like to do business with.
